COFFEE BEANS

West India Coffee Company was established in 1998 as the registered company of Barbados’ first authentic gourmet coffee shop, “Italia D’Oro”. However, with the success of this and many more coffee shops, it became very apparent there was a need for a local purveyor of gourmet coffee beans and equipment on the island.

By 2005 West India Coffee Company had four coffee shops delighting both tourists and locals alike. It was this during this year the retail coffee shops were rebranded to “Italia Coffee House”.

From its inception, WICC grew quickly as the leading specialty coffee company in Barbados offering local hotels, restaurants and coffee shop entrepreneurs a wide variety of coffee beans from all over the world. In addition to these established businesses, WICC is proud to be recognized as the organization that assisted with the design and layout of many other new coffee shops in Barbados.

WICC strives to assist those professionals who aspire to meet the challenges of building an even greater name for coffee in Barbados.

At the headquarters in Belleville, St. Michael, West India Coffee Company has a Team of fifteen members of staff working to serve as “The No.1 Leader in supplies & accessories for the Specialty Coffee Industry”.

Vanilla flavour easing into round, smooth Latin American and African Arabicas – that’s BARISTA CREATIONS Vanilla Custard Pie. A medium-dark, quick roast of Brazilian beans brings roundness and sweetness, whilst Ethiopian coffee in the second split brings delicate aromatics to the blend and adds a certain finesse. Nespresso split roast the coffees in this blend – it develops the beans to deliver an incredibly rounded coffee with a soft biscuit note. When Nespresso adds in the creamy vanilla flavour, it creates a silky, smooth-textured coffee.
