COFFEE BEANS

West India Coffee Company was established in 1998 as the registered company of Barbados’ first authentic gourmet coffee shop, “Italia D’Oro”. However, with the success of this and many more coffee shops, it became very apparent there was a need for a local purveyor of gourmet coffee beans and equipment on the island.

By 2005 West India Coffee Company had four coffee shops delighting both tourists and locals alike. It was this during this year the retail coffee shops were rebranded to “Italia Coffee House”.

From its inception, WICC grew quickly as the leading specialty coffee company in Barbados offering local hotels, restaurants and coffee shop entrepreneurs a wide variety of coffee beans from all over the world. In addition to these established businesses, WICC is proud to be recognized as the organization that assisted with the design and layout of many other new coffee shops in Barbados.

WICC strives to assist those professionals who aspire to meet the challenges of building an even greater name for coffee in Barbados.

At the headquarters in Belleville, St. Michael, West India Coffee Company has a Team of fifteen members of staff working to serve as “The No.1 Leader in supplies & accessories for the Specialty Coffee Industry”.

This is Voltesso - a light and sweet Vertuo espresso coffee that you might just make your golden standard. This Vertuo coffee pod gets its light, sweet biscuity note from Brazilian Bourbon coffee. We blended in Colombian coffee from the highlands - we lightly roasted it to keep that hint of acidity that balances out Vertuo Voltesso. It plays glowingly with the long roasted Brazilian Bourbon coffee - that long roast really pulls out the sweet and biscuity notes. Together these Arabica coffees are like a golden standard for a lyrical long black coffee.
